Data Deletion

MT Desk ("we", "us", or "our") respects your right to control your personal data. This page explains how you can request the deletion of your data from our Service, including data received through Meta Platforms (Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp).

1. What Data Can Be Deleted

Upon request, we will delete the following data associated with your account:

  • Your account profile information (name, email, password hash).
  • Chatbot configurations, training data, and uploaded documents.
  • Message history from Facebook Messenger, Instagram, and WhatsApp conversations.
  • Access tokens and permissions linked to your Meta accounts.
  • Analytics and usage data associated with your account.

2. How to Request Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your data through any of the following methods:

Option A — Delete Your Account

Log in to your MT Desk account, go to My Account settings, and select Delete Account. This will permanently remove your account and all associated data.

Option B — Email Request

Send an email to info@mtdesk.ai with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". Please include:

  • The email address associated with your MT Desk account.
  • Your full name or business name.
  • A description of the data you want deleted (or "all data").

Option C — Meta Platform Data Deletion (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp)

If you connected your Facebook Page, Instagram account, or WhatsApp Business account to MT Desk and wish to delete only the data we received from Meta Platforms, you can:

  • Disconnect the account from within MT Desk (Dashboard → Deploy → Disconnect).
  • Remove MT Desk from your Facebook account settings (Settings → Apps and Websites → Remove).
  • Send us a deletion request at info@mtdesk.ai referencing your Meta account.

When you disconnect or remove our app from your Meta account settings, we are notified through Meta's deauthorization callback and will automatically begin the deletion process. The following Meta Platform Data will be deleted:

  • Access tokens and page/account tokens.
  • Page, Instagram, and WhatsApp Business Account metadata (IDs, names, phone numbers).
  • Message history received through Meta Platform APIs.
  • Platform-scoped user IDs of end users who messaged your accounts.

3. Processing Timeline

  • Acknowledgment — We will confirm receipt of your request within 2 business days.
  • Deletion — Your data will be permanently deleted within 30 days of the request.
  • Confirmation — We will send a confirmation email once deletion is complete.

4. Data We May Retain

In limited cases, we may retain certain data after a deletion request where required by law, such as:

  • Transaction records required for tax or accounting purposes.
  • Data necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.
  • Anonymized or aggregated data that can no longer identify you.

5. Sub-Processors & Third-Party Data

When we delete your data, we also instruct our sub-processors to delete your data from their systems. Our sub-processors include:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) — cloud infrastructure
  • Vercel — application hosting
  • Render — application hosting
  • MongoDB Atlas — database hosting
  • OpenRouter — embeddings and AI message processing when selected
  • Fireworks / Minimax / Moonshot — AI message processing when selected

We cannot control the data retention practices of third-party platforms such as Meta. To delete data held directly by Meta, please use their respective privacy settings.
